A Free Gift Yet So Many Refuse

Crying out to God

Why is it that so many people are trying to earn their salvation by following the laws and traditions of men or a false works based religion?

Our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ  provided us with a new covenant in the New Testament to do away with all of this…..if only one will accept it. It was intended to be a GIFT of GRACE, not something we earn….. from He who died on the cross for your sins and for the sins of those who TRULY believe on Him.

This is the ONLY covenant we have now….yet there are so many people and false religions that blatantly reject it and think they’ve designed a better path to salvation. Sadly this is the wide path that leads to destruction.

It’s troubling to see people so afraid to let go of all of their pre-conceived notions about trusting in Jesus Christ alone for their salvation. Bur you see, that’s what FAITH IS…..that’s what it takes…..you abandon and deny yourself…..you forsake yourself and ANY attempt to try and work out your own salvation plan by works or good deeds to save YOURSELF and come to the full realization that there is absolutely NOTHING you can do to earn your own salvation by man made traditions, any works or any religion…..and INSTEAD choose to walk with him and accept His WILL for your life. That is TRUE CONVERSION. You fully submit to His will for your life and again abandon the will for your own life. This is what it will COST you. Can you do that?

Once you truly make Christ the center of your life you will feel the true conviction by the Holy Spirit which will teach you all things and lead you to repentance when you do sin. And when you repent of your sins and accept his forgiveness and truly believe on Him…it’s only then that you be free from the bondage of a religion that can do absolutely nothing to to save you.

Understand that your FAITH in Jesus then results in good deed, goods works as a testimony to your faith and walk with Him. It’s not the other way around that one needs do these things to EARN something that is already a free gift. Oh yes everyone will fail miserably from time to time….in their walk with God. We are bore from the seed of Adam. It is still in our nature to sin occasionally.

The difference is in accepting His FREE gift you have a desire to become more Christ like in your walk with Him and every time you do sin it will CONVICT your heart and draw you to repentance.

You cannot lose your salvation once you have experienced true conversion.  Will you hear His calling today?

  1. Ernest Gregoire says:

As a former Catholic, I applaud your efforts to bring a legitimate gospel to Roman Catholic people. Their problem is not one of lack of information in this day and age, if they make even the slightest effort to find it. Their problem is that when confronted with the truth, they don’t believe it. They would rather believe what man has written, ( The Catholic Church) than what God himself has said, (in the Bible).

  2. I agee Ernest. Being a former RC myself, I also feel in many instances that it’s man’s own sense of rational thinking which gets in the way of his own salvation. Deciding for himself (as a rational thinker ) that salvation couldn’t possibly be that simple but of course our dear RC friends and family have been fed this lie for so long they don’t know how to come to terms with it any other way than listening to what the RCC tells them they MUST do to be saved otherwise. Their salvation becomes more about “doing good works to obtain” rather than “receiving” the His free gift. How religions on a whole have complicated the simple message of Jesus Christ.

Romans 10:17 KJV
